Big News Back on the Ranch
Well, hey.
I mentioned when I opened this account (in fact, the only other time that I've ever been ON this account) that I had created it to read friends-only posts.
Now I have enough news to justify a post of my own:
This November we closed on a house in rural Vermont, and moved in on the first weekend in December. It's a cute little ranch from 1966 that needs a new ceiling, insulation, bathroom, windows, shingles, and interior drywall:) On the plus side, it has 3 acres of land, multiple stone walls, and a gorgeous 180 degree ridgeline view (Camel's Hump to the far right, Mount Mansfield to the far left). The bathroom is currently being down-to-the-studs remodelled. We like it a lot.
In Mid-December we adopted a 1-2 year old border collie from a local rescue shelter. Then we found out that she had whipworm and heartworm. We're beginning EIGHT WEEKS of treatment this Thursday, but the vet thinks that she'll live. I hope so, since she's the sweetest, most loyal, prettiest dog on the planet (Lesson from 2006: take the good with the bad).
Lastly, I'm three months pregnant and due on August 2nd.
