New Ink
It was strange to get another tattoo (7/8/08) when I was hunkered down in the grieving process re:Lucia, but we'd had this on the calendar for a while. Thus, I present to you my new left arm. Heck, if the computer doesn't crash again, I'll even throw in the old right arm (look for the new one in autumn)!
A few things:
1) This was tattoo number six and, after an eight year hiatus, it hurt like a son of a gun. That junk HURT. It hurt for an hour and a half while Bald Bill (of the veritable Yankee Tattoo) did the design and it still f-ing hurts. I think that I need to gain some weight in the arms.
2) The only part of the design that you can't see is the rough-cut ruby that the koi is diving for (Miss D's birthstone).
3) Taking a picture of your own arm is difficult for those of use with shortcomings in the spatial reasoning department. And my posture is awful.
