Half of January has already gone by. Hard to believe. It feels like the winter holidays were just yesterday, and yet here I am, preparing stuff for the next exam session.

Last week Spanish class was cancelled because the teacher was unable to be there. This week I had to stand in for someone at work so no knitting class. Will Mom's sleveless cardigan ever be finished? The back and one front half are done, now I'm working on the second front half, but I'm getting close the V neck part and I'm not able to do that on my own yet. I have to have my teacher there, giving me directions. So if I don't go to class, it doesn't get done. Next week I'm going to leave the other projects at home and bring only that to work on, so I will have to concentrate on it. Only thing is, I'm not that sure I can spend two hours knitting thin black wool. Black is elegant and classy but it's hell on your eyes if you have to work on it.

Last Sunday I met with a very dear friend of mine, and we went to a Mexican restaurant for lunch. Not very characteristic atmosphere, but really good food. Arroz con pollo rocks. And it was reasonably priced, too. We will surely go back there.

Tomorrow I have a private tuition class scheduled for 9.00 A.M., so I'll better try and go to bed early for a change. I'm so not a morning person, and getting up early is cruel and unusual punishment to me, but sometimes there's just no way around it.
