Have you ever collaborated with anyone else, whether writing together, or having an artist work on a piece about your fic?
Nope - not collaborated.
I think that I wouldn't enjoy co-writing, if the story was "mine" I would want to write it, and if the story was someone else's I would want them to write it. I like beta-reading but I always go into it making sure that the understanding is that any suggestions are only suggestions - the ultimate decision lies with the author.
I've not really had an artist work on a piece that's in progress. For the DDCC I asked for art on occasion, but I don't think that counts. I have done some art for other people, and that was great fun, and well outside my comfort zone. I can make an ok result with photoshop, but I haven't practiced drawing at all, which is something I would love to get better at. And fandom is a great place to do that - a lot of the stuff you need is already there, and fandom people generally give excellent feedback. The only thing that is missing is time...
