Max Update

It turns out that Max (my cat, for those of yo who have not been following) has feline hyperthyroidism. A "high normal" thyroid hormone count is 46; Max's is currently at 143. Oh thank goodness. poor kitty! I think I read about a treatment where they irradiate the kitty's thyroid and pills are not required. However, that means a lot more money up front.

P.S. They have a new thing called pill pockets where you cleverly hide the pill inside a treat. It worked for Henry.

Thanks for the tip — if it becomes an issue, I'll look into it.

I am quite adept at giving Max pills now, but I worry that he might learn the routine and start hiding every morning, etc. If that happens, the pill pockets might be the way to go.

As you have often said, it's amazing what you can get used to. Give Max a pill a day isn't going to be a huge issue, once it's part of your routine. I used to give Lucifie two needles a day and didn't think much of it, after a while. Poor kitty.
