Mythic Delirium Issue 20: Tenth Anniversary Issue Addendum

Aug 05, 2009 00:25

A thing, a thing, a wondrous thing! The voices of Goblins, a true tale twice-told, and for you, my dearies, should you guess aright, a prize, a heady brew of words.

Up on the Mythic Delirium website, Amal El-Mohtar and Jessica Paige Wick's "Apple Jack Tangles the Maidy Lac With a Red, Red Ribbon" is currently the feature poem. See the lovely cut-out art, jagged edges and rounded depths of curve, that accompanied the poem in the issue. Read the poem itself, taking turns with your former sweetheart, if you have one handy (check the back garden, under the cabbages; you might need a shovel and a bonewake spell or two). Or you can listen to the authors read it, once one way, then the other, moonwise and widdershins. If you listen a third time, have scissors handy. You may have to cut yourself from something...inconvenient. (Back under the cabbages untrue love goes, though perhaps you should try an apple tree, all things considered.)

Once you've listened to the Goblin Queens wind words round and round each other, it's time to guess who wrote which. Follow the directions above the text of the poem to email in your guesses before August 31st, and if you named them true, your guess will be entered in a drawing, the prizes for which are five free copies of Mythic Delirium Issue 20, from which this poem first looped a thread of red around my dreams.

boom baby!, mythic delirium, a room with a review, generic happenings
