Vaguely Irish applied.

Today is a Food Holiday (as opposed to a Damn Lie), and so we will be fooding with Baby Sis, Girl, and Traci. The menu is corned beef, cabbage, red potatoes, and carrots. I considered turnips, but I don't like the way they taste boiled. No alcohol because we are teetotalers, and no soda bread because I are lazy, despite having several GF soda bread recipes. Maybe one day I'll actually make one.

Traditionally, we watch Boondock Saints, but with the way my head is feeling, I'm thinking something more quiet. I have a yen for Moulin Rouge, so we might do that. Gatherings with this particular crowd usually involve Muppets, but I think Jim Broadbent's character is close enough for military. Which we are. Moreso than Irish (it's there, but it's back a ways, and mostly comes through the Scottish).

Happy Food Holiday, if you celebrate it. Otherwise, Happy Non-Holiday.

but would you eat it?
