I have an Urology appointment. In late August. I'm glad they don't think this is anything serious, except for the bit where I'm on prescription pain meds and so not glad, actually. However, my PT clinic does pulse ultrasound, so we're going to see if we can get the kidney stone out before I have to go in, and then that problem will be solved. Also, I am now on Neurontin for the Fibro and migraines. We'll see how that works out. So far, it just works to knock me out. It's good that something does, because my doctor had to put me on a two-week course of Lunesta before she can get Ambien CR approved, and I might as well be taking a caffeine pill.
Today, I actually don't have a doctor's appointment. Nor do I have one tomorrow. I think I shall clean up the master bedroom a little today, and try to catch up on some of this email that's been stockpiling in my inbox. Tomorrow, I may go to Best Buy to replace my borked little mouse, which means I'll be near the manga store and can get a volume or two. It was February the last time I went, so all the series I read probably have new volumes out by now. Note to self: Decide which series you want to update, and check the last volume you have when you get home. I should also see about hitting Fry's at some point, so I can price out a terabyte external, if they have them in the store. Even I would be challenged to fill that up any time soon.
We're coming up on the seven month mark for Spouse being gone, and we're both just done with this deployment already. Send him back home, Navy, I have better uses for him than you do.
Boss got psycho in my direction yesterday, after a prolonged period of psychoness in the direction of other people. I found myself to be very zen about it, really. I'm looking for other options, I've sent out my resume to a few places, I can afford to walk if necessary, thanks to the "sorry we took your Spouse away" money the Navy's giving me, and take some time off while looking for something else. Also, I have far, far bigger things to worry about, as talking to Spouse and going to all the appointments and PT (and the ER twice) has brought home time and time again. I do my job precisely to the specifications of the employment agreement I signed. I've already made boss aware she's not getting more.
In cooler news, I'm getting several of
these if the future holds what we hope it will.
In writing news, I'm sure you all already know William Sanders is an ass, but if you didn't, now you do. If you don't believe me,
yhlee has some proof, as do
nojojojo and
coffeeandink. Also, proof that David Truesdale is an ass, but that's a given.
I'm working on two poems at the moment. I think I might read the wrong languages for hunting down good information on Sudha Segara and traditional forms of Hindu poetry, but I keep looking. The other one requires less research on my part.
Oh, and I have BPAL reviews to post. Maybe I'll do that today, too.
