Getting back in that saddle
Nolove from Strange Horizons, which is not surprising, but is disappointing. After so many years "off," even a rejection makes me feel more like a professional author, but it's still a rejection.
Anyway, made myself turn the story around and send it off to the next market. If they reject it for reasons similar to SH, I'll need to pull it back in for an overhaul, but right now I just can't look at it again.
I've got a goal to finish Selkie by the end of August, after which I think I'll tackle Trolling if Coachman hasn't come back. October might be Monarch or Shipsinger or Drowned City, we'll see which one grabs me then.
