Strega is Italian for Witch
Nona the happy name
for a grandmother

I never wanted to be a grandmother
did the infant thing once
quite enough

but grandmothers are open
helping all
sharing their knowledge

i like that magic
to make wonderful things
a little bit of "Better"

magic is an attitude
positive thinking
seeing the beauty

an "elderly" woman
Strega in attitude
Nona open to all

maybe a title to grow into
a way to look at women
not "ageist" but flourishing
