And now a message from Miss Pansy Parkinson...

Are Hermiones better than Pansies?

The answer is a resounding NO!

The Pansy Parkinsons of the world add just as much as the Hermione Grangers. It's all a matter of perspective and balance. - Sea Isle Witch

::giggles::

I was waiting for this... You didn't take very kindly to JKR comparing Pansy to Pink's stupid girls, did you?

I'm writing my Lumos paper, and I have to say I was extra annoyed reading Rowling's comment.

I'm honoured that Pansy trusted me enough to provide a forum for her own rant.

I can't wait to hear your presentation at Lumos!

There isn't much of it yet; I'll let you know soon whether or not your enthusiasm is justified ;)...

PS: I have my computer back, so I'm more regularly online at Yahoo these days.

You know, I adore your take on Pansy. I could never write her, being the Gryffclaw I am, but am glad there are people out there like you who can convey subtleties and less in-your-face personality types so well.

This is marvelous. I am in uber-crunch mode at work right now, but look forward to clicking on that link at the bottom later.

Thanks! It was a fun way to vent!

Pansy, I agree whole-heartedly with you and hope that your dreams come true. As for "pug-nosed,: that's just a cruel way of saying "cute little button nose with an uptilt."

I knew a witch of our distinction would completely understand my predicament.

Had to comment again, as a thought occurred to me while I was putting my pub in the mail--

Pansy also had to get past Dumbledore to be made a prefect. Is the Greatest Wizard of All Time going to let someone whose "thicker than a concussed troll" be a prefect?

I think not.

That's just that Granger's opinion. Those Gryffindors know nothing about the real me.

Professor Dumbledore is very much pro-Gryffindor, but Professor Snape is a strong advocate for Slytherin House.

Dear Pansy,

O.k. I have to admit it was nice to hear JKR speak on behalf of all us smart fatties, but cheers to you, too! The world needs all sorts. And when you put it that way about Prof. Snape, I see your point: beautiful doesn't mean evil or stupid any more than fat or ugly does.

Sincerely,
lunafish

Yes, the world does need all sorts. Life is what you make it.

I'm worried about Draco, though...
