My kingdom for quiet and nothing to do.

Holy shit fuck I am tired.  Gardening, cleaning and puppy proofing on Saturday.  6 hours in car picking up puppy, then evening babysitting puppy on Sunday.  I am in total pain as the gardening and cleaning kicked the shit out of my body.

Meow I am taking Thursday and Friday off this weekend.  It was to get some much needed rest, well guess what?  Thursday it is the vomit comet, in other words taking the dogs to the vet.  Friday more gardening, I have to get this shit under control fast cause it is causing to much work to maintain.  And this labor day weekend?  Installing a chain link fence.  Fuck me dry...

Now the good news is the fence will totally help with our dog situation.  Right now we walk them 6 to 8 times a day.  So to let them out to do their business and walk them only once a day for discipline and exercise while have a huge impact on our quality of life.

So the puppeh...

We went to go pick him up in Chantilly, after the rescue did a little speech thing.  Ernie said good bye to his brother Ethan and off we went.  If I remember correctly there was 11 basset puppies.  Basically a backyard breeder didn't want to deal and dumped the pregnant mom off, so AFH took her in and delivered her puppies.  Ernie and Ethan were the last to go.

In every picture I got with Bobby he just has this smitten look on his face.

So here is Ashford Ernest Gilkerson, Ash for short

He has very sweet nature.  He is a puppy though and I almost killed Bobby last night for passing out at 7:00PM last night and leaving me to baby sit when I have to be at work today.  No matter how sweet or well behaved puppies need 24/7 care and observation.  So I woke him up after trying 3 times at about 10PM pretty much screaming at him for leaving me to hold the bag.

Tonight, not sure how I am gonna cope as I am so tired and after a full puppy day, B will need me to take over...

At first I was a little worried as our other 4 dogs seemed mildly curious to down right offended by him.  I had assumed Daisy would be all over him trying to mother him, nope.  It was sad watching him desperately try and play with them and being rebuffed. He follows them everywhere trying to fit in.

Good news is B just sent me a video of them all playing, so good.  Heh...

Just worn out and tired.  If I wasn't so worn out and tired I would have to say life is pretty awesome.

woot, blat, health, basset, house
