(no subject)
well.. while i'm waiting for these files to copy over... perhaps i will rant about the grossness of the drive problems I have been having as of late. my hard drive has officially been renamed: stupiddrive, as authorized by both my instructor and the lab technician. i don't know if it's really my drive.. probably moreso the usb 2.0 connection on these computers. the lab guy redid them all this summer, well, actually installed the hardware for them, and i guess it wasn't necessarily the best brand? needless to say... my drive and this hardware don't like eachother. I scanned in negatives the other day for an hour and a half, and when i went to save them, the computer froze up on me bc of the connection, and I lost allllllllll of the negatives. however, i scanned in at a way lower resolution today and it took me about ten minutes. so i was a bit foolish in trying to scan at so high a resolution that the computer has to actually make up new information, but hey... you live and you learn. i'm finding that i'm not so much mad, as i'm just impatient. this involves a lot of waiting. and i thought i had a lack of patience in the real photo lab... man, doing this all on the computer is like ten times the stress. so anyway, now i'm sitting here waiting for the instructor and/or lab tech to come back and let me retrieve my files from his computer since we had to erase the drive twice. i'm pretty bored. i have already surfed through all of the exciting places on the net... and i really just want to leave now. i am coming home this weekend to see the homecoming game and help natalie on saturday. she is so excited, and she's going to look soooo gorgeous. and even though i am sure she will be attracting the eyes of many boys, i am going to keep my eye out... no dating till she's 30 i say! i suppose that is a bit harsh... perhaps maybe 20? we'll see ;) my dad likes 30 better. ok ok. sigh. man get me out of this lab.
