i remember i used to draw really elaborate pictures of really random things with thick crayola markers and hang them on walls in all the classrooms in eighth grade.
i remember when i decided i would only wear skirts and soft colors and curl my hair before i would go to shows and parties and things.
i remember when i would write love letter emails to dennis and braden and i would say things like 'you're the ice in my cappuccino.'
i remember when i couldn't eat right and braden would laugh at me and say it's like i eat with my shoulder blades.
i remember when i told the drummer of the silent film stars not to touch my dog and every show i went to after that he would say 'this goes out to the girl in the glasses'.
i remember when i danced with justin machado for my birthday sophmore year and i considered that the best day of my entire life back then.
i remember when i was so mad at my friends that instead of going to graduation, i went to see my favorite band play two hours away. and they called me 'lizabeth' and told me how much older i looked and invited me to eat with them. i remember how i considered that the best night of my life back then.
