STEP ONE
• Make a post to your LJ. The post should contain your list of ten holiday wishes. The wishes can be anything at all, from simple and fandom-related to medium to really big. The important thing is to make sure these wishes are things you really, truly want.
• If you wish for real life things, make sure you include some sort of contact info in your post, whether it's your address or just your email address where Santa (or one of his elves) can get in touch with you. Your home address is not required!
• Make sure you post some version of these guidelines in your LJ so that the holiday joy will spread.
STEP TWO
• Surf around your friends list to see who has posted their list. And now, here's the important part...
• If you see a wish you can grant, and it's in your heart to do so, make someone's wish come true.
• You needn't spend money on these wishes unless you want to. The point isn't to put people out, it's to provide everyone a chance to be someone else's holiday elf - to spread the joy. Gifts can be made anonymously or not - it's your call. There are no guarantees with this project, and no strings attached. Just... wish, and it might come true. Give and you might receive. You'll have the joy of knowing you made someone's holiday special.
My List:
1. Spend some time with me. I'm particularly fond of adventures but quiet discussions on time travel over coffee are super nice, too. I also enjoy getting stoned and painting with friends whilst arguing over the existence of god. Or we could just go to a greasy spoon and spend an afternoon listing the endless reasons why it's good to be alive. Or, you know, Dinosaur World is lovely this time of year.
2. Anything you made yourself. Paintings, knitted shit, a big ball of bent up paper clips, mix CD, cat fur hair ties, a blunt, etc.
3. A plane ticket back to England so I can see my mates and their new houses and go proper clubbing and drink legally and and and. I really miss England.
4. A proper letter. (snail)Mail me a page or two about your life and I'll reply. Promise.
5. Polaroid film. I'd love some 600 and sx-70. They're starting production again next year so this is your last chance to get it at a really high price!
6. Your favorite recipe. That is, as long as you don't mind me later publishing it in my forthcoming cookbook. Remember: I haven't had meat in nearly 5 years but I love eggs and dairy.
7. A divorce for my parents where my dad doesn't flip out and try to dick over my mother and kill himself. I'd like them to stay friends.
8. A pay raise for my older brother. Or maybe a sugar-daddy for his girlfriend. And happiness for my little brother.
9. Any fun little kid stuff you have left around that I can have to play with or give to Mackenzie. I'm particularly found of learning games and creative stuff and not fond at all of anything violent or religious. Also, she's a budding lesbian so boy AND girl stuff is encouraged. Also, this doesn't have to be physical; if you used to play some imaginary games that you think a brilliant, gay, hyperactive 5 year old girl would like to play with her eccentric, purple-haired 20 year old (someday) aunt, tell me about it.
10. Anything you see and think I'd like. Records, books, anything colored turquoise, Jack Daniels, old maps, kittens, a boyfriend/girlfriend, hugs, world peace, a vibrator, marijuana or any type of drug, wind, cigarettes, cold weather, a neat leaf you found when you were out walking, that weird thing you saw at that place and couldn't figure out what it was meant to be, etc.
