if first term senators don't deserve to be President, does a dumb "governor" who lets her husband abuse his rights really deserve to be Vice President, and a heartbeat away from the Presidency?

senile old men who call their supporters "fellow prisoners" do not deserve to be President

When he promised almost immediate troop withdrawal from Iraq upon his election and when he pledged to accept matching public funds for his campaign and therefore the campaign spending limits. He reneged on both promises almost immediately after Hillary Clinton withdrew from the race, which makes him look like a LIAR who made those promises only to get votes.

immediate troop withdrawal meaning he will begin to remove troops immediately. which i believe he is still planning on doing. granted, he is not removing all of them at once, but still, removal is still a priority. as for the campaign funds issue, that to me is sooo insignificant. to me it is absolutely ridiculous to hold that against him. i'm sure when he said that he has the best of intentions, but obviously campaigning in this close of a race requires both parties to spend a shitload of money. it has been this way for a long time now. it is expected.

When he promised wives of soldiers that their men will be home soon after he gets in office. Maybe they will, but then I want to know who he plans on using in Afghanistan. I think it's gonna be those soldiers who are fighting in Iraq. Ergo they will not be returning home to their wives.

you're judging it based on something that you are unsure of. how do you know he isnt sending others? maybe those that were lucky enough to not get sent to iraq? its better than keeping everyone there, and perhaps sending another surge, and another, and another until the job is "done"

no. i am sure that there aren't enough soldiers in the US armed forces to bring back all the men from Iraq and send new soldiers to Afghanistan.

but, more importantly, are we really doing this on livejournal?
