I'm just wondering how none of THAT ever seems to fall under the 'doctrines of men' banner? I am told to give up Holy Tradition, and in the same breath told that I need to listen to John MacArthur so as to be instructed in the 'right' interpretation of Holy Scripture. I figure that if I'm going to be a Christian, then I should hold the same faith as the Early Church Fathers. Otherwise, why bother? I didn't find the other way at all satisfying for me. On the contrary, I had a lot of very spiritually damaging experiences while an adept in the mire that is modern heterodoxy.
