I've been thinking about the lovely, supportive post by Sara Ramirez (shared in Callie_Erica), written in response to the teens who committed suicide after being bullied. Also saw a video by another straight-but-not-narrow, Rosie Diaz. We're hearing about six recent suicides, and perhaps this is encouraging other families and friends to speak out

He wants any form of sex education eliminated from the curriculum, which is already 'abstinence-based', meaning it's the product of a conservative Christian ideology in the first place.
He's also against evolution.
And beer-pong.
And any portrayal of life that isn't straight (pun intended) out of "Leave It To Beaver" and "Andy Griffith". Little Stepford Republicans...oops, that's redundant!
Like most true thumpers, he can't resist getting in a few bible quotes.
Most interesting is how clearly he buys into the politico-christian rewriting of US history. Amazing and frightening. But the p-cs would rejoice if all the perverts killed themselves. Not very Christian, that. Or them.

The response is interesting because the superintendent, Mr Minor, states that he is a conservative Christian and agrees with Scroggins on several points. Minor, however, gives a nuanced response that makes it clear that he understands his constitutional duty as enumerated in the Establishment clause and the Lemon Test.
