Here is what I've produced tonight in google image searching my interest (and research paper topic) in
Neons
Cerith Wyn Evans
Here's a small exceprt from the site:
"His work could be characterised by its focus on language and perception, as well as its precise, conceptual clarity that is often developed out of the context of the exhibition site or its history. For Wyn Evans, installations should work like a catalyst: a reservoir of possible meanings that can unravel many discursive journeys. Moreover, his work has a highly refined aesthetic that is often informed by the his deep interest in film history and literature. Indeed, Wyn Evans’ earlier creators often inhabit his work, an indication of his desire to keep their ideas in play or bring them back to life in order to use them as raw material for future thought. Often his works harness the potential of language to create moments of rupture and delight, where romantic longing, desire and reality conjoin."
In Girum Imus Nocte et Consumimur Igni (We go round and round in the night and we are consumed by fire)
Tracy Emin
I really love her use of her own handwriting. Her work gets graphic (well pornographic in some cases as well), so I've chosen not to post it, but It will be interesting to address in the paper I suppose. Bruce Nauman also has graphic representation as well in his works.
Love Poem ("you put your hand across my mouth/but still the noise continues/every part of my body is screaming/smashed into a thousand million pieces/each part/for ever/belonging to you.")
"It Doesn't Matter My Friend, It Does Not Matter (To Cry is Beautiful)"
Bruce Nauman - Our collective hero as art history students. Amazing in person if you're ever so lucky.

Sort of a sample. I thought it would be interesting to try and demonstrate how varied the works in the medium really are, or at least a little bit of why I am so interested in this medium.
...and here's an extra, just text related.. but the photograph is really nice I thought.

Imagine the presence of this work, or just coming across is. Text based work gets right into text and graffiti in the public sphere, and ohh.. It's all so wonderful in my opinion. Imagine all these fragments cast about Central park. I promise I do enjoy Giotto just as much, but this stuff has some wonderful appeal I think.
