I just finished Alice: Madness Returns. Hmm, it wasn't too bad. Some aspects of the game were interesting, but the story was rather thin. Dialogue was really good, and the Cheshire cat is awesome as always. It's a shame he had the same role from the first game. I like him

shooting big pig snouts was amusing. i was expecting the duchess to try and eat alice eventually. i just wish the gameplay wasn't so repetitious, as that's its biggest flaw. without all the padding, the game would have been very short. i just hated realizing i was going to be doing the same thing over and over, for a long time.
*shrugs* i just wasn't the right person for the game. the game and music were lovely, but it wasn't exciting to play.

But yeah the duchess she DID try to eat Alice in the first game but apparently she really did lose her taste for mad women! In fact in the first game that pepper gun she gave Alice was the very gun she tried to pepper Alice with before eating her in the first game when Alice went to confront her and get the tortoises shell back for him!

honestly, i was sad when the game wasn't what i was hoping for. it would have been nice if at least each chapter had a new way of playing. and when alice was in london, it would have been if something could be done there too, as it was really just intermission, and i did think to myself what is the point of this? and i had to look at all the creepy people. XD
i know, toward the end it made more sense, but i kind of wanted to explore this grungy london.

Also I might agree there's room for improvement with Alice and in fact I do... we can always hope they make another one with the stuff they learned making Madness Returns as they lacked experience making AAA titles whilemaking it. But to be frank I wouldn't expect a totally different game as it is a series after all and they usually try to stay true to what the previous installments where.

they should make another alice game, the ending seems like it would allow for another. i am curious as to why the blending of the two places came together, though maybe a game isn't really necessary.
