So today, I get this from
Connections in my email (I haven't edited it at all, sorry for the shocking syntax and grammer):
we're still counting down to the party of the decade - The Birthday. & oh my, do we have a whole heap of surprises in store for y'all. firstly though we must confirm that ticket prices are $50. $50!?@!? you may squeal, to go to connections?!!? ahhhh, but here's what your $50 gets you:
- 14 djs featuring the likes of milly, hustler, moosh, the d-boyz (Brett Nikisson & Scott Rawson) plus many more, old skool & nu.
- 4 amazing shows featuring the cream of perth drag talent.
- a 500 square metre outdoor beer garden
- $20K of new lighting
- two lasers
- & a 9am license
I had wanted to go to this, but there's a point where common sense kicks in and goes "WTF? $50?" I am not paying $50 to get into that dump without a guarentee that'll it'll result in peace on earth. I think they've become greedy and overestimated what people will be willing to pay.
