See, I’d have written earlier but I had a bad bout with me broom and well…I’ll spare you all the details but I was to…em, uncomfortable to write before now. But no need to worry, I’m all in one piece (far as I know) and am obviously well enough to be writing now ( Read more... )

Hello Seamus
Theodore Nott, Slytherin. I don't believe we've ever spoken, but as a bid at this inter-house unity, I'll say hi, and hope that, other than the accident with the broom ( I can only imagine your pain!) your summer has been good.

Theodore

Hello Theodore Nott
I think you're right; we never have spoken. Summer has been all right, and I'm feeling quite a bit better since 'the incident'. How is your summer going?

My summer has been uneventful. Boring, I suppose would be a more adequate description. Although once I've finished my homework, I'll have more free time to do entertaining things, like ride my broom, although hopefully my broom riding will be free from 'incidents' . I think my fellow Slytherins would never let me live that down!

You've finished your homework? You're a step above me then. I haven't so much as attempted to start it. Ya, may your broom riding always be free of 'incidents'.

Ah, see my father won't let me leave the manor until I've completed my homework. Hence the boring summer and the completed homework.
And here's hoping all your future broom riding will also be free of 'incidents'.

Lucky for you! My father always knows about most things. I suppose it comes with being a parent...the ability to know what your offspring is up to all the time. Although I think he means well. These journals will not help, either.

Are both your parents wizards? Or can your journal remain unseen by them?

Lucky is definately the word. Mam tends to just believe what I say.

I'm half and half. me dad's a Muggle. Mam didn't tell him she was a witch 'till after they were married. Bit of a nasty shock for him. So only me mam can see it. Not that she'd try to look, I don't think.
