I know a lot of you already know this but...recordkeeping purposes, I s'pose...
With a six month hiatus comes a lot of changes.
Main one being that I have, once again, been rejected. (Refusing to communicate with me whilst communicating with my coworkers. That sounds like something that happened to me before...)
Not surprising, but still hurtful. I didn't want to whine about it so I didn't post.
Life is great, otherwise. I have a wonderful floor (though this semester has made it difficult to be around -- illness and schoolwork are not a great pair), fairly awesome classes, and I got another bunny.
Stephen Colbert didn't win the presidency of the United States, but that's okay. 2012 is another year.
I finished the veterinary application process last month, after retaking my GRE in September (650 verbal, 750 Math, 4.5 Writing), and have gotten (and accepted) an invitation from Kansas State University to interview there.
I haven't heard from my two other schools yet (Illinois and Wisconsin), but am hoping to within the next few weeks.
Got tons of good experience this summer -- and a stellar evaluation in the form of a maybe job offer.
But...
I've decided that when I get done with school, I'm most likely (93.0% positive) going to go in to the service -- U.S. Army Veterinary Corps. I'll most likely just be checking food temperatures, working on base, or doing something ridiculously random and crazy, and well, Melissa. Afterwards, I'll probably specialize in opthalmology, maybe at a foreign university, I dunno.
I'm slowly getting back into fandom. I think the Harry Potter fandom batshit-ness at the end scared me away for a little bit. I'm dusting off my Japanese, and beginning to teach myself Norwegian and (maybe) German.
Yeah. I'm back. And third time is the charm, so I'll be posting on a regular basis.
