Sunkiss for the Lilies

Jul 23, 2005 14:48

To meet the ear oh whisper wind
And your tiny toes through lilies they go
The fairest hands command fingertips
To pluck the petals of my innocence

You tear the roots, shake off the dirt
And ill admit, at first it hurt
The change in environment was to never expect
But I’ll never think to mention regret,
(What a disgusting word with a depressing meaning;
I would never use it in a world where everything happens
For a reason and my blossom is changing with every season)

Obey fair words of the whisper wind
A smile so sweet and body petite
A personality to sweep you off your feet
In hands like these, to trust without a care
My gardener can plant me anywhere

It’s a mystery how these flowers seem to grow
What people you meet and the places you go
How life’s surprises appear from a tiny seed
Through the nurturing of fate and perfect timing
