Five things!
1. I have returned from the wilds of Heresluckaton with a couple hundred pictures of cats, vegetables, and flowers. I will be posting a selection of them over on my tumblr, so watch that space if you're interested. Delicious food was eaten, cats were petted, music was listened to (and shared), shows were watched, laughs were...laughed, and a delightful time was had. A++ weekend trip, would do again!
2. This Firefly reunion happened at ComicCon and just READING about it made me cry. I'm sure watching it is not going to be any less tear-worthy. Fittingly, h.l. and I watched two episodes of Firefly this weekend, "Our Mrs. Reynolds" and "Out of Gas," and guess what? OoG STILL makes me cry a SIGNIFICANT AMOUNT. Show of my heart. ♥
3. She also successfully pimped me into Friday Night Lights by showing me the pilot and then I demanded we watch the next three episodes. Coach and Tammy Taylor are exactly as awesomesauce as promised. Matt Saracen is instantly my connection character and I just want to feed him soup and help take care of his many issues so he can be happy dating coach's daughter (if she wants to!) for awhile. I don't like Tim very much, but I do like Tyra and Jason's gf whose name totally eludes me right now and Smash. I REALLY DISLIKE the car dealer guy. Buddy? UGH. UUUGGGHHHH. The show has already made me cry three times in four episodes. Good job, show! I am going to try to get AHH pimped into it this week, but either way, this is totally the next show I'm watching. I'm glad it's closed canon. Open canon makes me nervous these days.
4. Speaking of: the series finale of Eureka is on tonight! I have loved this season tremendously and I'm unexpectedly much sadder about my happyplace show being over than I thought I would be when I heard the news last season. Jack! Henry! Allison! Jo! Fargo! TOWN! Even you, Zane, have redeemed yourself this season. (But seriously: Jack Carter, I WILL MISS YOU.) I expect to be in tears with THAT, too. I need to drink more water.
5. I may have to abandon this Persuaders vid, and that makes me really sad. In my head it was such a good idea, and in reality it is not. I am going to try one last trick to see if I can get it rolling, and if that doesn't work, I'm going to let it sit for awhile and move onto something else. Either my happy Persuaders vid or the Wonderfalls vid I've been wanting to make for five+ years which h.l. assures me is a)not a terrible idea and b)at least three people will watch. Heh.
