Things I cannot believe I haven't done before now:
Listening to the commentary for "Blow Out" (Prison Break episode where Mahone gets thrown in jail + EPCoUA!).
I am 2:40 in and they are talking about how there was an episode where one of the card holders was a "flight enthusiast" and it was going to end with Mahone skydiving after them to get the card.
Will update as more awesome things result. FINGERS CROSSED.
ETA 1: Not a quote, because it's been sadly kind of dull, but I keep getting distracted by how blue Fichtner's eyes are. They sure lit the hell out of this ep.
ETA 2: "We always look for stuff to give [Fichtner] to showcase him. Prior to this he hadn't been utilized as much as we like to utilize him."
- Laughing at Dom Purcell's line reading of "look, I feel as bad about his kid as everyone else," because seriously, that is the least believable way for him to deliver that line.
ETA 3: Only thing they have to say about the Epic Phone Call of Ultimate Awesome: "This part was interesting. We went back and forth with how this scene was gonna end. In one version, Michael was going to hang up the phone and alert the gang to a change of plans. The other version being that we just go off his look. Went back and forth. In the end they decided to go with the look." Writers, I am disappoint. That's the best you could do?!
- "That was meant to be symbolic of Sarah and Mahone's relationship, of how they had a past where they were antagonists and now they're faced with the prospect of working together as teammates. Sarah handing him the thumbprints was a peace offering or olive branch."
Overall, not anywhere as awesome as I had hoped. Boo, writers. Boo. On to the season 2 commentaries that Fichtner is actually a part of!
