Names eliminated to protet the adorably innocent

Seen over on tumblr earlier: "i think i can officially say that the wire is the best television show i have ever watched. and this is coming from someone who’s seen every episode of prison break."

Having also seen both of those shows, all I can do is giggle helplessly. (I also want to make an icon that says, "Prison Break: It's Almost As Good As The Wire!" or something. ♥)

Thanks to brynnmck telling me David Marciano is in a new show this season, now I'm going to have to watch Homeland. I didn't realize that was the Damian Lewis show, though, so at least there's that! I adore him now! (We're still watching Life, btw. We're almost at the end of season 2 where Dani is working with the FBI and Charlie just got his SUPER AWESOME new partner that I adore and I have somehow come to terms with the relationship between Dani and the LT who's name I've totally blanked on. Donal Logue's character. He is weirdly charming. Anyway, I really really love the show and am going to be sad when it's done. I look forward to watching episodes when we get the chance.

Sean Maher came out.

Great interview with Dominic West and Clarke Peters about their work together on Othello.

Due South/C6D Homecoming Festival Poll. A little gift fest sounds like a lot of fun and I'm hoping to participate in some small way.

More of the vidding meme!

Day 21 - Sequels - Have you ever created a sequel to a vid you made, and if so, why, and if not, how do you feel about sequels?

I have not mostly because my vid ideas tend to be very self-contained and don't have room for sequels. I have no problem with sequels if the idea is there; Dualbunny has proven the excellence of that with her Starbuck-as-P!nk series. I actually, hilariously, do have a sequel of sorts vid idea for "Cold Cold Water" that would be the rest of Starbuck's time on BSG, but I just haven't gotten anywhere near okay enough with BSG to think about it lately. It's a great song, though. Perfect for her.

Day 22 - Have you ever participated in a fest or a Big Bang? If so, write about your favorite experience in relation to one. If not, are there any you've thought about doing? And if not, why not?

FESTIVIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIDS. I've actually also participated in a couple of Fandom Secret Santa exchanges, too. I love fests in general. I think my favorite experience with one was the first year of Festivids, just because everyone was SO FREAKING HAPPY and we were all so grateful to have the opportunity to participate.

Day 23 - When you post, where do you post to? Just your journal? Just an archive? Your own personal site?

I post to my journal after uploading my vid to my webspace and YouTube. I post an announcement on the general vidding comm and if there is a fandom-specific one, I'll post there as well. I will usually post to the vidding comms a few hours or even a day later after I post to my LJ, in theory that broadens my audience but IDK if that's actually true. I also TRY to post on weekday mornings, but usually I can't wait so I'll post in the evenings (I try to never post Fri or Sat evening, honestly) and then do my cross-posting in the morning to, as noted above, broaden the audience.

Let's not pussyfoot around here: I want people to watch my vids and I will do what manipulation I need to in order to try to attract the most people. Except I never do any sort of vid graphic. They have worked on me in the past but I am never motivated enough to do them myself.

Full list of questions.

And now I really need to finish this huge project I've been putting off for a month. SIGH.
