1. festivids reveal date is approaching! That means if you want to try to guess which vid I made and get a 30-second vidlet if you're right, then you need to do so prior to Sunday!
2. help-haiti is having another Lightning Round auction where someone offers to do something (a drabble, an icon, a vidlet (I presume? I haven't looked at everything that's being offered yet), or whatever for a set donation amount. This also links to the v-gift thing LJ is doing this weekend where ALL v-gift amounts are being donated. Fun for all and for a good cause!
3. I won cinnamon rolls in the help-haiti auction and they got here last night and are DELICIOUSNESS PERSONIFIED. Nom nom nom.
4. Masterlist of the Chromatic Recasting meme that's been going around. NGL, the Buffy one MADE MY LIFE. I want that show.
5. halfamoon is also coming and is having an Impromptuthon. I've set aside a few prompts that are tickling my fancy, but this weekend looks awfully busy, so we'll see.
6. Would anyone be interested in a vid challenge where I put my iTunes on random, you pick a number between 1 and 15,000+ (how did I get that many songs on there?!) and then have to vid at least 30 seconds of it to whatever fandom you want? I always think I'd want to participate in stuff like this but a)I can never find anything like this and b)I just can't commit myself to any deadlines these days. But I can commit you guys! Hee. Anyway, if there's interest, I could run something very low-key and offer on vidding, too. You'd get like a week to put it together. I could host a masterlist. We could do multiple rounds if it's easy enough. Or maybe in the future I could pick one song and people could all use the same song, though whatever portion of it they want. Whatevs! I'm just throwing this out there.
7. In general the previous relates vaguely to an idea I had awhile ago of trying to make some sort of 'Unviddable Song Challenge,' but I don't believe that there's such a thing as an unviddable song. There are songs that are difficult to make dynamic vids out of, but nothing unviddable. Maybe it's a personal thing - some songs are unviddable for you specifically but not in general?
