Since I'll soon be offline for the rest of the year, I'll post this now. I did this last year and personally enjoyed it, which is why I'm doing it again this year. I have really mixed feelings about my fannish output this year.
Oh my God. I went back and realised that I never left a comment for "The Loyal," even though it is one of my favourite vids ever made, and I really have to rectify that. I mean, I saw Children of Men in the cinema and was blown away, but also completely wrung out, and dubbed it the best film I never wanted to see again - but that vid captured all the fragile, desperate hope that was overwhelmed by the horror when I first saw it, and I went back and watched the film again and loved it even more than I did the first time.
Also, it's a kick-ass job of editing and a wonderful, perfectly-chosen song, so, you know, it's got that working for it. *g*

So true. I adored it but wasn't sure I could sit through it again. I found it less exhausting the second time through since I knew how it would end going in; the first time I was so caught up in the fear of what would happen I could hardly breathe. So it sounds like we had very similar responses to it. :)
I've not commented as often as I should due to my propensity to become speechless in the face of talent such as yours. But, having finally discovered due South this summer, you are a huge part of my new-found love. I am crossing my fingers I make it to Seattle in March so I can tell you so in person.
Aw. Thank you for such a lovely comment! :) I hope you can make it to bitchinparty, it should be a great time, and you'll be surrounded by people eager to talk dS (and other fandoms!). *beams*
Just dropping in to say that you and your vids and your Vecchio love are three of the things that have made me stupid happy this year. You may be less happy than you were with 'That's All' but I LOVE it. It's the vid that could have been made by crawling around in my head at that time and it feels incredibly personal to me. So even if you did nothing ever again (nooooooooooo, please) then just having that would make my life immeasurably brighter.
Aw, cat. *sniffs a little* Thank you so much. Truly, knowing that the people who really love Vecchio/Kowalski loved "That's All" makes it shiny in my eyes. I just have Creator Issues with it. :)
I hope you have a wonderful holiday. I'm so glad to have gotten to know you this year. *hugs*
