there's something about this sentence that made me laugh so hard that the cat stopped racing around and came over to stare at me: "“You’re quite right, Ray. I apologize for not being more clear. Can I get you more champagne? A pig in the blanket?”"

this is so utterly delightful. and so them, you write them very true. i love benton's determination. and ray's waking up to his new reality. :)
