You Might Be A Vidder If...
- You sometimes time your own physical movements to the beat of the song you're listening to. Not tapping out the beat but turning your head on the dramatic cymbal crash, for instance.
- A single 250GB hard drive just isn't enough.
- You match every song you listen to to a fandom or character or pairing. Even songs you don't like.
- You spend your free time in increasing levels of agony trying to understand software like AfterEffects, Motion, Final Cut Pro, or Premiere.
- You reward yourself by obtaining these programs in the first place.
- You rewatch shows with the sound off so talking doesn't distract you from the purity of the visuals.
- You may not remember the plots, but you certainly remember when the camera did that cool swirly trick in that one episode.
- You find yourself at some point saying to someone, "I hate clipping!" and you're not a dog groomer.
- You have found yourself staring bleary eyed at the screen, promising yourself you'll go to bed once you get Buffy's arm to swing in time with the downbeat.
- You think in frames, not seconds.
- You first fall for/watch a show or an episode because it would be "really pretty to vid!"
- You have done the math on how to get your 4:3 and your 16:9 source to work together.
- You are intimately familiar with at least three different codecs.
- You know what a codec is.
- You have had discussions on the benefits of exporting in RealPlayer vs. WMM vs. AVI.
