Very cool review, full of interesting points, but this one especially intrigued me:

And the male voice didn't bother me. I'm finding, just as a side note, that for the most part it's not male or female that pings for me, but the quality beyond that (rough, soft, loud, mellow) that speaks more to me for characters.

I had never thought it through, but I completely agree, and now I have a clearer way to think about it. Thank you so much!
