I really like: the quick cuts at 0:02 where they briefly hit a higher note (bom-BOM-bom); the flash to Murron getting her throat cut when Wallace slits the throat of, um, that other guy; the ripple transition at 0:25 (which doesn't seem like it should work, but oddly, does); the first bride who was taken as the "necklace"; Wallace's army as the "packs to move"; and the last shot. The desaturation does indeed work well with the mood of the vid.
The clock wipe dissolve doesn't look too bad, actually, although I agree that given more time you probably could have found something else that would look better. And I like the quick cuts at 0:42-0:43. If I were to give you a suggestion there, it would be to try cutting on every beat on that line up until "breathless" and hold (i.e. no cuts) throughout that word, and see if it feels more natural.
Yay! You have gotten off to a great start! Can't wait to see the rest. (Damn, I really need to start my second one already.) Oh, and I really like how you cut the song.
