Life in America is especially hilarious when you're an outsider living in here. Living in America gives you a, "Oh, my God! Everyone's trying to get us! We can't let that happen!" Me, though, coming from the outside look at this as, "Really, America? Really? This country you feel is out to get you is full of people who consider half a plate of ( Read more... )

I'm not sure I've ever watched MTV in my life...probably because pop culture and I have never been close friends and MTV screams that.

When I was younger, my dad would have our vacations mapped out the minute we got there...we could never just go with the flow...it's different now that everyone is older, but back then, it meant waking up at 7 in the morning to go out and do stuff...some vacation!

I know, right?

"Let's move! Disneyland's about to open, and we're not in front of the line!"
"No time for the parade! Run to get a spot at Space Mountain!"
"Eat faster! We'll miss Fantasmic!"
"Stop tying your shoe! There's no time!"

I see these families all the time when I go to Disneyland. It's sad. They don't know how to take it easy and just enjoy the park

That's how it is...everyone is always in a hurry to get from A to B...they're sooo afraid they'll miss something. Traffic is a perfect example--it can be 10 PM and people are speeding down the highway and I'm like, "Where the Hell are you speeding to at this hour? You're gonna kill yourself!" Ugh...just, ugh!

Funny thing about that. Americans are hooooooooooooorrible at taking the role of the other.

Like the speeding thing. We see someone speeding or cutting us off on the road and we're all, "Lunatic! You'll get yourself killed, moron!" but not think, "He's probably rushing home because his wife is in labor and has to get her to a hospital." Or, "Whoa, he must be in a hurry because he's going to miss a big meeting to get a promotion at work."

Do you ever find it eerie how you "rose from the dead & did the Thriller dance" a couple of days before MJ died?
