ahhhhh.
i am sick. i have several afflictions, actually. the worst is a sinus infection. i'd rather not go into details about the rest, but suffice to say that they are not pleasant.
it was not fun to call my doctor at least five times an hour for two hours this morning and get a busy signal every time. i felt absolutely miserable and was practically hacking out my guts. on my mom's advice, i ended up going to an urgent care center... cause that was better than the alternative: no appointment until tuesday (memorial day weekend).
and needless to say, going to cleveland browns stadium tonight to watch the u.s. men's team play venezuala in a world cup tune-up is not the brightest idea. but mike and i have had this planned for months. so i am going. i'm not looking forward to tomorrow morning, though.
also, thanks to koren's mom, i have now secured a babysitting position for her neighbor's three rowdy kids. i'm going to be paid to take them to the country club and lay by a pool while they take golf, swimming, and tennis lessons. still, koren told me they were a little crazy, so i plan on stopping by their house sometime next week to introduce myself since i can't babysit tonight due to the aforementioned soccer game and, less importantly, my sick status. i also have an interview at penney's tomorrow morning. hopefully that will go alright... and hopefully they will be okay with me babysitting if i can provide a timeline for when that will occur. that way i could babysit 2-4 days per week and work another two per week. it wouldn't be a ton of hours, but any extra money helps. especially considering how much i've made since i've been home (which would be, of course, nothing). i just hope that it works out fine... i'll also have to call the kids' mom about that and see if she can provide a schedule of when i am babysitting the kids and what not.
now it's time for me to go find something to wear to the game... and it's still 65 degrees out, so my super thick underarmour turtleneck isn't going to work... hmmm...
at least the snacks are ready -- and yes, i did pick up a giant frappuccino bottle for the ride back. ahhh, caffeine... how i love thee... hah. later kids.
