[ She's been told a little about the blood colours with trolls by Gamzee, but not enough to know what's so special about Karkat's. She does notice the red, so she figures maybe it's something with that.. ]
You mean.. there's something with that red color..? [ She can only guess that much. ]
[He moves to cover up his eyes again, but Minako's been one of the people to see first hand the colour of his blood. And it's exactly the same as hers. He shudders, uneasy. The fact that all humans seemed to have that trait just makes him think of the cancer he gave their universe. Was it carried in the cells of the red blood he'd given to all its lifeforms?]
I know! Gamzee told me all about it.. Trolls have all kinds of different colours for their blood, right?
[ if only you knew, Minako. She pauses to think for a moment. ] I thought it was sort of weird and icky at first, but at least yours is just normal, right?
[He goes quiet at that. 'At least yours is just normal'... he could almost laugh if he didn't feel so sick to his stomach. He knew humans had his blood colour. He knew that. But it didn't erase the years he'd spent hiding his. Didn't erase the way his lusus was so overprotective. Didn't erase the fact he wasn't allowed to be alone for too long when he was out, or go too far away on his own. Didn't stop the fact that he'd been harrassed and mocked for hiding it. Didn't stop how every little cut had to be carefully bandaged and hidden. Every graze, every burn, every scrape - everything. Didn't stop him being so disgusted whenever he saw it. Didn't stop it being a certified death sentence if almost anyone else ever saw it.
He shakes his head.]
This shit isn't normal, Minako. Not for me. Not for trolls.
[ Maybe it's him being so.. well, serious and calm that makes her sober up too at that. She doesn't really get it, not just yet, but at the same time she can understand that it must be important to him if he's talking about it like that. ]
So do you mean something like.. your blood colour is not normal, even though it's the same as ours?
[He rubs the scar across his nose and sighs.] That's what the game does. It makes universes. It's designed to do that, after it destroys the one the players came from.
If I have to be honest, you do look.. rather good. [

Oh for fuck's sake, he can feel the heat rising to his cheeks and he blushes.
He clears his throat, not looking at the camera.]
Yeah, yeah, whatever. I always look fucking great.

[ At least that came out rather forcefully, but then she is somehow reduced to sputtering again. ] I-- I mean..

This fucking sucks, Minako.

[ And she does look rather genuinely curious. ]
I would have loved to look a bit older for once!

You're not a troll, so you won't really get it.

Most trolls don't have blood like this.

Either way, I'm sure there's no way you could have screwed up anything like-- uh, wait, making the universe?

Shit... this'll take too long to explain. But remember that game I told you about? The one I was playing with my friends?

[ She's just curious more than anything, really. ]
