((BACKDATED to the 21st June!))

BLAH BLAH BLAH, CUT OFF YOUR WELCOME PART. IT'S FINE. NO EDITS NECESSARY. MOVING ON.

GENERAL INFORMATION

Now, as explanation to the constant questions “why were we brought here?” and “what is this place?”, we will try to answer to answer as best we can.

According to the Guardian, the overseer of this land and our ally until shown otherwise, we were brought here by beings known as the fae, faeries or fair folk. Our presence here marks an attempt on the faeries’ behalf to capture us, circumvented by the efforts of the Guardian.

OKAY, HERE I THINK WE SHOULD JUST CHANGE IT TO ‘WE WERE BROUGHT HERE BY BEINGS... THE GUARDIAN‘. I DON‘T THINK MARKING HIM AS AN ALLY IS A GOOD IDEA RIGHT NOW, SINCE WE DON‘T KNOW HIS DEAL AND HE‘S KIND OF AN ASSHOLE.

As to why, we are unsure, since there are many different races and people from many different words arriving to no end, it is difficult to see a pattern emerge. However we do take note that Azeroth seems to be place of prey for the fae.

AZEROTH AND PLANET EARTH, MAYBE? THERE‘S A LOT OF PEOPLE FROM EARTH HERE.

This place Demeleier is apparently that which lies between the will of the fae, and the will of the Guardian who works to secure our safety for the time being, if not our freedom.

I’M SORRY, BUT WHAT THE FUCK DOES THIS MEAN?

Our enemy is the fae. Many of us find this idea a strange one, considering the usual manner in which they are depicted, but they are to be treated with great caution - some may only be mischievous, but others are incredibly dangerous. As far as combating them is concerned two things have been made clear as useful against them: the first is the Rowan Tree, its bark, leaves and berries hold some kind of power against the forces of the fae. It is presumed, though unconfirmed, that these trees can be found in the woodland surrounding us.

CONFIRMED NOW, BUT IT‘S HARD TO LOCATE.

Iron has also been revealed to be of great value in defense against the fae. Supplies of this are scarce, but are being mined and processed when found to be of use. Steel is, strangely, not at all effective in comparison. All residents are to be given one link of iron to keep on their person. New arrivals, or those without, should contact Aureln Dawnstrike or Faldain Randir as soon as possible in order to acquire one.

’FALDAIN RANDIR‘? WHO‘S THIS DOUCHEBAG?

Our situation is a dangerous one, with grievous harm - even death - being a very real threat. It should be noted that, in this land, it seems that those residents who die will return to life in the course of a few days. This remains unconfirmed, and should not allow the matter to be trivialised. The welfare of our fellow residents remains the most important thing.

In regards to leaving, it appears there is no way to do so that we currently possess, and even if there were, we would be pulled back instantly by the fae. Travel in any direction from the village inevitably brings one back to where they started. The constant search for a way to leave this place as it is our ultimate goal of research in order to return to our perspective homes.

YOU CAN‘T WALK OR FLY THROUGH THE MIST. YOU CAN‘T TELEPORT OR TRANSPORTALISE OR WHATEVER. I THINK WE SHOULD STATE ALL METHODS OF ESCAPE TRIED THUS FAR, BECAUSE YOU JUST KNOW SOMEONE WILL COME ALONG LIKE ‘OH, HAVE YOU TRIED TO FLY OUT? I CAN SHOOT PORTALS OUT OF MY ASS, WILL THOSE WORK?’ JUST LIST EVERYTHING. IT‘S EASIER FOR THEM TO CHECK IT THAT WAY.

RESIDENCY IN DEMELEIER

HERE is a list of residents that has been compiled and will be updated constantly as more people appear or vanish from Demeleier. Addendums to this list are made by Thanatos, and he should be contacted if additions or mistakes are noted.

NO THEY‘RE NOT; THEY‘RE MADE BY YOU. THIS NEEDS CHANGED.

New residents should familiarise themselves with this list, to identify friends and allies and also to identify others in the same position as yourself. We DO NOT harm one another, or fight amongst ourselves. Only if this rule is abided by will we be able to function as a community.

OKAY, I GET WHAT YOU‘RE SAYING, BUT THIS IS PRETTY FUCKING CONDESCENDING. MAYBE JUST NIX THIS AND KEEP THE FOLLOWING PARAGRAPHS?

No matter what the appearance of the residents may be, if they are on the list, they are considered an ally and are not to be approached with hostility despite the fact that they may be an enemy in your own world. If you harbour rifts from your homeland, you will be expected to set them aside for the time being. If you cannot be trusted to do so, you must take into account that you will be hindering us as a group - and that it is as a group we must stand.

At this point in time there have been no attempts from one resident to harm another. If this changes, people will be informed via the network in order to prevent such an incident recurring, and they will be marked on the list of residents as someone to avoid. Demeleier currently holds no set justice system - if a need is found for such, it will be created by the community itself. We do, however, have a Watch headed by Valeria - this is a group of people who patrol the area in order to keep it safer. (Inquiries regarding the Watch should be made to Valeria.)

CHANGED; SOUJI SETA, OR GILBERT G.P. ASSHOLE.

Worth noting is the fact that Demeleier has no economy to speak of - there is no money in use here, and residents work together in order to ensure everyone is looked after and catered for. Food, clothing and aid can be acquired for free, but it is generally accepted that people will do what they can in return. Work currently in place is the Watch, hunting, gathering, and cooking, building or maintaining the buildings, or working in the forge with what metal we have.

OR IN THE INFIRMARY. ARE THERE PEOPLE IN CHARGE OF THESE JOBS? ADD THEM IN.

Please note that we have no electricity or running water here. Lodgings here are incredibly basic, though we are working to make them safer and more secure.

LOCATIONS

There are a numerous locations of note in Demeleier:

Communal areas:

The inn is located close to the center of the village, and may be a wise place to spend time until you are settled. Faeries seem to avoid the building, although there do appear to be frequently infestations of some form of imp in the basement. Food is prepared and kept here by several of our residents, should it be needed, and so hunters or gatherers of any kind may wish to consider bringing their resources here.

MENTION THAT ASSHOLE UNDER THE STAIRS, WHO I AM IN NO WAY SCARED OF AND FACE THE PLACE WITH REVULSION WITH BECAUSE OF.

The bathhouse has recently been built, near the inn. Please note that facilities are shared and basic. The coals and water are tended to frequently.

IT‘S NOT RECENT ANYMORE. MENTION THAT THE ALCHEMISTS PROVIDE MOST OF THE CLEANING STUFF, NOT TO HOG THE PLACE, AND ALSO THAT THERE‘S A MANUAL SHOWER THERE NOW. WHICH YOU‘RE WELCOME FOR, BY THE WAY.

The church does not seem to be a reliable place to seek respite from the fair folk, unless recently consecrated and sanctified, an act which must be renewed fairly frequently.

YEAH, SO IF YOU CAN RELIEVE THE TERRORWITCH OF THIS TASK, SPEAK THE FUCK UP.

The forge seems to repel the fae, likely thanks to the iron stored there. It can be considered a safe area in times of need, but is also a working smithy.

OR IT WILL BE, WHEN WE GET A PROPER SMITH AGAIN.

The town hall is on the side of the village facing the lake, and is a gathering place for times during which all residents must be counted together. Myhrta Starshower has also set up a small infirmary here, and those in need of healing would be best to head here.

NO, SHE AND TAKANO HAVE THEIR OWN PLACE NOW. THE TOWN HALL IS FOR... WHATEVER THE FUCK YOU USE IT FOR. DOCUMENTATION? WILD RUMPUS PARTIES? IT‘S ALSO WHERE THAT BESTIARY BOOK IS, SO PUT THAT IN TOO.

Terrain:

The loch is a place where many fae seem to appear. There have been several occurrences that have harmed residents which in one case resulted in death.

There is a creature in the water, as well as something identified as a snake or a worm - able to kill with breath alone - on the island out in the distance. Therefore, the island should be considered off limits unless approached by a group of able fighters, as the beast also carries a fatal venom to which we have little antidote.

The woods are also home to many of the fair folk, and are not to be entered alone by any means. There are enticing lights there which you may feel inclined to follow. Please endeavour not to do so; residents have been known to become lost in the woods for days as a result of this.

The mountains should also be treated with great caution. They are home to several large packs of brutish ogres, who will attack unprovoked. This is, however, where the majority of our ore is to be found. If people seek to mine these or explore the area, it is imperative that they go in a group.

Other:

The temple appears to be the ultimately safe place, at least for the time being. Most residents wake up on the tower steps. Whether the guardian is there or not the building seems to repel the fae, and thus can be considered a sanctuary.

The Mansion is also a danger zone. All though there are things within that could be of use to us, namely books and materials, the dangers of the place are too great to risk unless it be a party of skilled warriors who take on exploration.

CRYPTS? MIST?

THE FAE

The fair folk are many, and grossly outnumber us. Their abilities and forms are incredibly varied: be wary of anything that does not seem quite right. What information we have is limited and scattered - a bestiary is being compiled by Thanatos, and any reports of fae activity should be brought to him.

This has been an exceptionally brief summary outlining some very specific information. Please note: this information may be considered a constant work in progress, and will be subject to change and expansion as more is made clear to us. If you have a suggestion for an addition or addendum, or have further questions, please do not hesitate to contact Thanatos <---NOT THIS DOUCHEBAG or Schneizel el Britannia.

Take close watch of yourselves and of each other.
