Gabe Tyler Rob Heath I went to see Midtown Thursday (November 11) thank godd, dad let me go! He took us there too. It was so awesome! We got to the palladium and (it was only upstairs) Heather was determined to make friends that nite (we didn't really... well, except other people who you'll hear more about) and then the first band came up, "TheAcademyIs" they were pretty good, I thought the guitarist was hot, Heather was "inlove" with the singer. They had a lot of energy and they were kick ass. People moshed at the end which was fun. After they left, we stayed in the mosh pitt a little longer, but then left cuz it was hot in there. We went outside and there was a Midtown poster (I planned to steal it, but I forgot to... I forgot what I knew ;-) ) So, then we went up the stairs and saw a guy from midtown behind the merchandice counter. Heather was like
"What's his name? What's his name? Let's see... not Heath, Tyler, or Gabe...."
"Robert."
"No, no, not Robert..."
"Robert."
"No... Not Robert! What is it?"
"Robert!"
We went up to him anyway, Heather says,
"I've met you guys before, but I can't remember what you're name is!"
"Rob."
"See?"
"I thought you were just saying a random name."
"No..."
There is reason why I remembered that name, but I will not say... I was relieved nonetheless. Anyways, Rob was really cool he was really nice and wrote "Audrey, hope you have fun! Rob" on my ticket and complimented my Amelie shirt. Heather requested that the play "Like a Movie" cuz she's never heard it before and I told them I loved "Is it Me is it True" and he said they'd play that (wasn't too shocked that they did considering it's on their new album anyways) And then we saw 2 guys from "TheAcademyIs": Heather's sexilious singer and the drummer(?). We got their autographs, both of whom also complimented my Amelie shirt. I bought their cd and they signed it. The possible drummer signed as the "Butcher bishop" and the singer as, "William B." William hugged Heather and tapped my shoulder. We were both excited... 'specially Heather. I think Heather likes the band a lot.... A LOT more than me. They were really good, and they were all wicked nice guys, but Heather finds them amazing.
We started back to the pitt waiting for "Hidden in Plain View" to end and waited for Midtown to begin. Going down the stairs, there's Tyler (He's the one I think is hot, Heather likes Gabe) and Heather just goes and whispers in his ear and he whispers back and then they just continue on their opposite way, meanwhile, I'm just like...wtf?? "Was that Tyler?" "Yup." When we got in the crowd I was still kinda in shock, like I told Heather, I've never met a band so casually or... out of a line. I know, it's lame how I've met bands, but that was freakin awesome. And then I realized something. My Amelie shirt is a wifebeater with a small circular picture of Amelie pretty much right in the middle of my boobs. So, I was like, "Ha ha, they all just looked at my boobs!" It really amused me. Not feeling at all violated (strangly [prob since I doubt they meant for that... or did they?]), we headed towards the front.
And when Midtown got on, everyone was crazy. They started with "I think you've become everything you once hated.." from their 2nd Album. It was so good. Then they went into the "Forget What You Know" album also playing songs from their old cds (including Like a movie) they were like, 'You guys are crazy! I knew Boston was gonna be the best date on the tour!" It was awesome.
I love Midtown, partially through the show, weird things were happening to Heather, but "we don't talk about that." She was fine after that. When Midtown got off and (after we went all crazy and I touched Tyler's guitar... and heather "caressed his chest with (her) tounge ...damn you, you outdo me again!) we went back upstairs. We met Heath and Gabe... Gabe hugged me and wrote on my ticket "To: Audrey <3 Gabe" It was awesome. And then the hot guitarist from TheAcademyIs but I didn't talk to him much cuz Matchbook Romance was playing (they were alright, I used to like them... but now i don't remember what songs were theirs) and Heather and I (mostly Heather... damn it, again?) talked to another guy from that band who had crazy hair. He was like, "Yah, we're playing with Motion City Soundtrack" and Heather freaked out and was all "You have to come! You have to come!" To me... even though I told her I probably couldn't cuz it was a Tuesday, that nite was hard enough, and now... my report card, cha... Then he gave us a big hug along with this girl who had a cool notebook with a bunch of band's signatures ( I saw someone with a "I'm with the band shirt" and had Midtown sign it... I thought that was clever). And then, my dad was there so we had to go, so he was like, "One more!" And this time I whispered in his ear and told him I thought his hair was cool, and he's like "Thanx!"
Super fun night!
