Hospital admits error in child's growth-stunting surgery. This is an update to
this entry that describes how the parents of a mentally retarded girl wanted to remove her ovaries and uterus to artificially stunt her growth to spare her the discomfort of dealing with women's issues and to keep her physical size smaller to make it easier to care for her.
Apparently, now the hospital is going to include a disabled advocate on their ethics committee.
