Lindsay Lohan To Star Alongside James Deen In "The Canyons"
Brett Michael Ellis' Twitter confirms Lindsay Lohan's role in "The Canyons."
In my first post, Ellis had written a film script in which James Deen was the first choice to star as the main character of Christian, a power player and major manipulator. Christian lives off a trust fund which pays for a house on the beach and dabbles in such avocations as film producing. But mainly it pays for his hedonistic life style. Christian enjoys setting up three-ways and filming them. Yet, despite his philandering ways, he is possessive about his current live-in girlfriend, Tara.
Since then, the film raised over $150,000 through a kickstarter campaign. James Deen has gained a lot of attention from the media (ABC News calling him the the "boy-next-door pornstar") and has attracted the admiration of many girls (and probably many guys as well). He will be featured in forthcoming issues of GQ and Rolling Stone magazine.
Recently, Ellis confirmed on Twitter that Lindsay Lohan would join James Deen in the film.
The film is said to be contemporary thriller documenting five twenty-something's quest for power, love, sex and success in Hollywood. Taxi Driver director Paul Schrader is set to direct.
According to the description on letitcast.com, Lindsay Lohan will play Tara, formerly a model, now arm candy, is “beautiful and withdrawn.” She has spirit and intelligence but somewhere along the way she has sold her pride for the material comfort Christian can provide. The description also states the role requires nudity.
This will be James Deen's first non-porn film. Film shooting is from July 9 - 31.
