Sunday April 1st was a beautiful sunshiny day, which was a good thing since it was Suffolk Showcase -- an event for admitted new students and their families to visit campus. I spent two hours holding a door open and smiling and saying "Good Morning" and "Welcome!" Which was fine, since I'm new here and wouldn't have been much help answering questions. And, I got to visit the fourth floor of Donahue and meet students from a bunch of different student activity groups, which was great, since I'm new here and need to learn as much as I can about Suffolk, especially from the student point of view.
Yesterday April 4th was snowing. That's Boston (or anywhere in New England) for you. But I like that. I enjoy having that "first day of spring" kind of a day over and over again.
And, it's been a good day today. I've made a friend here in live journal and I found a blogger in Florida who just wrote a post about receiving her Suffolk acceptance packet which made it a good day for the VP of Enrollment Management -- and I report to her, in my brand new job, in a brand new position she had created -- so that makes a good day for me, too.
