If it was a physical thing, I'd have it extirpated. I would cut it off myself, with no anesthesia, just use a fork or a butter knife, and do it, once and for all. I would do it myself, watch it carefully as I do, make sure there's nothing left, like a cancer that only needs a single cell to spread. I'd pour pure alcohol over it, or burn it up so it doesn't even have a chance to regenerate. If it were a dot in my forearm, I'd cut off my whole arm, just in case.
