Question, how do you move from one city to another? Like, I mean, all your books and personal things (well, maybe you've got a tv and a blender and stuff like that), do you hire a company to move them from one city to the next and just kind of wait for them on the other end? I really have no idea

It depends on how far you're going and if you have people to help you.

My friend was moving from San Franscisco out to my area in Philly, so she shipped most of her stuff via UPS to my house and I held it for her until she got out her.

Usually, people rent a U-Haul truck (since you can rent them in one place and return it elsewhere) and handle it themselves.

Moving companies are mad expensives even for close moves, so if you're moving cities, I doubt you'd use that.

Hmm. Seth's moving from Providence to Berkeley, and, well, he's lived in Providence the four years of school and about four or five more months. How much stuff would he have? I'm not sure. He's rented a small place the last year and a half, two years, lived alone. So maybe he bought a tv and and kitchen stuff and god knows what else.

But he hasn't spoken much to Ryan in the last years, so that's not an option. And I think he wants to make it on his own, except for the fact that he's reaching out to Ryan at the same time. Damn it. I need to you read the story and give me a feel of it. *g*

I'm guessing then that Seth would probably sell most of his furniture in Providence and just take what he can pack up his car with to drive across country to Berkeley. That would make the most sense.

I agree- he'd sell the TV, blender, and any furniture (like couch, bed, etc) and pack everything into his car and drive. And then buy new stuff when he gets to CA.
