Okay, so I went to see the movie tonight. We were supposed to go last Tuesday, on the 06 06 of 2006, but Jose had an exam and Kelly (my almost sister in law) had homework for the following day, so today, after my Mechanic of Soils test (I ROCKED!!!! YES! FINALLY!), we went to see it.
Truth be told, I was certain I was gonna get scared out of my wits. Why? Because I'm a wuss when it comes down to horror movies. For real. The Exorcist, the renewed version? Almost traumatized me for life. Couldn't sleep with my nightlight off for a whole week. See? Pathetic. Really. I actually saw the original version, though I must have been ten at the time, years after it was premiered, but it still scared me. And yet, this movie? Kinda lame. Except for two scenes (when the mother has that hallucination of her slashed wrists and when the crazy nanny appears almost out of thin air), the whole movie, was pretty slow, boring, and an exact copy of the original. I didn't think it'd be this bad. Both Jose and Kelly liked it, of course, because they had no idea what it was about, besides the born of the Antichrist. Yeah, well, they never did use to watch movies until I came along. *proud*
Now, the thing is, I remember a few scenes that weren't in that movie, and while talking with Karen, I think weren't in the original either. I remember something about finding the mother of the Damien. Something about snakes and how the snakes wouldn't bite her until she spoke of her son once again and then she was bitten to death. And something about a... monastery, I think. Something with priests and nuns, and the crosses over there turning upside down and people dying? And something about a tree... Not sure what, but something about a tree. Argh. Were there sequels of the original? Am I remembering those or am I just a bit too crazy for my own good? *giggles* Have no idea. *g*
Off to write the story for the OCMSC fic. I love my lines! *bounces off*
PS: Turns out, reading the theoric part for Mechanic of Soils, at the end, does pay up. *nods*
