This Issue of Stephen's World
It has been a while since I last updated my live journal. I've been real busy with work, reading, personal stuff. I feel like God has really been stretching me recently. A lot of people have been coming to me with their problems. At first I was stressed out about it all, but now I've been letting God handle their problems and I am just there to support them. I few days ago I hung out with Scott, and he gave me this poem that related to my situation.
Let Go and Let God
As children bring their broken toys
with tears for us to mend.
I brought my broken dreams to God,
because He was my friend.
But then, instead of leaving Him
in peace, to work alone,
I hung around and tried to help,
with ways that were my own.
At last, I snatched them back and cried,
"How can you be so slow?"
"My child," He said,
"What could I do?
You never did let go."
So, right now I am very happy. I wish I didn't have to work so much. I'm working 40 hours this week. I still have to read 3 books before school starts, but I'm not too worried about it. That's all I really have to say at the moment.
