The State of Things
aka: the state of some of the stuff going on in my life and the lives of those around me
Since Cara's birthday...
A gate went up in our apartment complex. This made the Todd angry and the me annoyed.
Todd and I joined our church. Todd's now a Mennonite. I'm an associate member of our church, but technically still a Presbyterian. We are still working on reaching the understanding of the "ethnic Mennonites."
We replaced Jerry at work. Angie is a pleasure to work with.
Todd and I attended this year's church retreat and got to know more of the congregation.
Todd and I began peaking into the world of buying a house. We found out that Todd and I both have very good credit scores. I was relieved to find I was not dragging him down (curse Hollywood Video and their lies about me not turning in a video!) credit-wise.
I got to catch up with Julie. Three hours of phone conversation almost caught us up on the general state of things. Man! That family is interesting!
Good small group time with...the small group.
The Colts won. All sorts of talk about the better chances of Superbowl XLV being hosted in Naptown.
I found out that March 2nd is the official last day of my temporary position.
January/February Birthday bash. Yay for happy family time! So what if my older cousin called me a ditz?
Todd and I found a house that we wanted to buy, barring any scary new findings. Someone else bought it a few days later.
Snows came. Life slowed.
Momma finally got a better job!
A calm Valentine's Day evening was a treat.
Today's history class was canceled. I found this out while I was sitting in the class room. I ended up talking to two other students. One is a Linguistics major who is an aspiring actress/singer and is auditioning to join the choir for Wicked tomorrow. She's a bit self-absorbed, but quite interesting. The other is a former engineer who is now a chemistry major. Sound familiar? We had fun talking about random things for about half an hour, and then split.
It's about the time that class would be over, so I better get back to my afternoon of reading, running errands, and tidying the apartment. I'll probably update again in a year. =p
