Hey all!
It's not often I moan and complain about things, especially on line. Also it isn't often I post journals, but then Twitter has sort of taken over there. :-P
This is moan about people who moan, not so much moan a little, the people that complain about everything and seem to go out of their way to then find fault with everything and anything possible.
I often find these kind of people are fairly unhappy with their life, unhappy with things they do and where they live.
This post comes about as tomorrow I'll be travelling to the London to see the Olympics, it's something I've been looking forward to for a week or more.
This morning I came into work so very happy and excited about it, I told one colleague where I was going and was then subjected to two and a half hours moaning and complaining. It left me feeling like it was rather pointless to go.
How can they wonder why everything they have is so crap when they find fault with everything.
It's not even just that, it's also the fact that they bring everyone else who is near them down to their level too. Like with my experience this morning, after being so enthusiastic about it, I was left rather dis-heartened. I know there are some people out there who also do this kind of thing on purpose, in a "if I'm not happy then no one shall be happy" way, which is just wrong.
Anyway, since I'm now writing the second half of this post from home and not on my phone in the canteen, my whole rant-y mood has gone. Actually things got better again after my break, several other people who I work with said how they'd wished they were going, or hoped that I had a good time and some of the customers said they'd keep an eye out for me when they watch on TV. :) So this time the moaning did not win over all, I guess there is a happy end to the story after all. XD
This evening I guess I'll be getting all my stuff packed ready for tomorrow and then me and Smraedis will be getting the train down to London at some point. Will be seeing the women's athletics final on Saturday evening. ^_^ I'll try to get plenty of photo's and there will probably be some blah blah about it on my Twitter. :)
I'll be back on Monday, but won't have long to wait before going out again since it'll be the Manchester mini-meet on 11th of August.
Now, someone from work has gone and invited themselves to the meet after the event was put on Facebook by Hex. As much as I'm happy for the guy to go, he doesn't actually know anything about the fandom at all, or what to expect. All I think he wants is to hook up with a hot girl. Today he came up to me and asked why a bunch of random people had been asking what his character is, so I'm just a little concerned.
Anyway, will see what happens there. :p
See ya,
