Stuff XIV
If you know my DA, you should know about my web cam being the same for ages, the not cute one. The thing is when I first put that up it was because everyone called me cute and I didn't think it. This has changed now because now I like everyone calling me cute, though I still don't see it. :p
I updated it to a picture of me at a Halloween party I went to. It was a while ago I know, but I've been busy recently.
Yes I am wearing a dress. XD
Keeping on the weird side, I went to Manchester meet again on Saturday, as someone said, "it was a blast," and it really was. :) I didn't drink too much as it cost a blooming three entire quid for a pint, in fact I only had one because of that, there were others who had more expensive drinks though.
Me and mister mrawr shark went to the station to say good bye to some new friends who left early, then we just had a wander around ourselves, ending back in the station again where we sat and talked, I bought some cakes, which we shared and a non-alcoholic drink, we talked until we didn't really have anything else to talk about and then we both decided to go. I got back home at about 10pm. Anyway, glad I met everyone who went, I seem to have become good friends with a frog, the first one I've ever met. XD So by the time the next one comes around I'll have prolly forgot who everyone looks like. :p
Onto the reasons for not being so active, apart from being a little more active on Second Life, I've been very busy with my uni work. It always seems so cramped up before Christmas, I handed in two of my assignments about last week, I got the results and they're both A's. :D Something to dance about, *dances.* :p I have a presentation still to do this week another program or two to design and code and a report and more stuff to get together before Christmas. I'm still in the thick of it. I don't know what next year will be like as that will be my last semester AFAIK, I have my big piece of coursework to do then hopefully about this time next year I'll have a degree. :)
Keeping on the topics of computers now, I've worn out my new laptop already, well it's battery anyway. It's only been a year and it needs replacing, it would be OK but a battery cost over £100. I've asked my parents for a new one as a Christmas present. :p
A few weeks ago I suddenly decided to re-design my web site again, be warned though, it doesn't look so good in Internet Explorer, if you use a standards compliant browser such as Opera or Fire Fox it should display correctly. It'll still work in IE, it'll just look a little odd.
I re-coded and re-released one of my screen savers I call the Bug Screen Saver, such an imaginative name. :)
Basically it takes a snapshot of the desktop and draw little insects all over it, the little insects move around and eat the desktop. XD More info is in my wiki. If it works in vista please tell me too. :)
I plan to do my Snow Screen Saver again too, so once again people will be able to have snow all over their desktops. :p
What else, ah yes, my IRC client I've been writing in Java, I've worked a little more on that, not much, fixed a few things, if I get some free time (not likely,) it'll be ready for an internal release and then after some testing, ready for beta release, I don't have any time frame for that though.
I also had a bit of a silly idea, I just randomly started coding my own Web Browser, I don't know why, it is a big job anyway. I'm not doing any more to it for a while anyway. Just thought I'd say something about it. :p
Well, I'll try and be more active but I'm usually on IMs or SL in the evenings. I best get rehearsing my presentation now or I'll be really bad on the day. XD
