(no subject)
ok so I hadn't updated in a while and figured that I might as well. Work is going well, we are hiring some new folks because some of the old crew just quit. Its amazing because everyone that quit this past month (5 in all), with the exception of one who was a recent hire, were all at Office Max for more than 2 years. Weird.
My other business is going pretty well also, I've tapered down to a few steady clients a week which helps to pay the bills, and basically am just trying to get out of, and stay out of the red. My new laptop brings me some decent joy, although it has made me realize that possessions TRULY have nothing to do with happiness. I've realized that no matter how much technology I have it will never be enough until I get the balls to tell myself that it is. So with this laptop I'm gonna try and do just that, because trying to use it as a pillar of happiness just doesn't work, but relying on my own personal feelings towards everything does. Babble Babble babble, rubble rubble rubble.
Oh I came across this forum of 3DMark 06 Users that helped me come to this realization. The majority of them were bitching about their benchmarking scores and "horribly slow" equipment which included one system (this guy totally wants better) that had:
AMD Athlon 64 4200+ Dual Core CPU
4x512 PC533
2x7900GTX -SLI
2x10k RPM SATA II Harddrives (Raid 0)
Ageia PhysX Accelerator card.
His score was crap according to him, his little rich friends on the site agree'd that his hardware was crap as well and he needed to upgrade.
W T F...
Anywho more importantly this next week Beth is travelling up to Pittsburgh for a 5 day vacation away from moi. So needless to say this next week will be totally shitty and filled with a depressed, lonely steven. If anyone wants to come cheer me up, or just hang out in general then let me know.
And thats about it.
