Does this make me a bad person? Oh God.

Ok so I have this client, who owns a Mortage Company. This client is having me build them a server system w/ a Raid 5 configuration, and lots of other nifty things. Well after selling them a few laptops from Omax, and working out a $2058 Server system, I worked out a "deal" with them.

Firstly I sold them our last of this pretty nice laptop, original cost $799, we gave it to them for $720 w/ a $50 mail-in rebate (so $670). Today I gave them off $670 (Basically gross margin for me and my vendor) on the Server, and took said laptop.

So should I feel bad? I mean I didn't screw them over, but basically I just got a laptop for nothing. Sure I'm not getting anything out of the server now (and I still have alot of work to do on it), but consider this, the server isn't being purchased till late this month. Meaning that NOW I have this laptop, which I'm not "paying" for till the end of the month.

God i feel terrible for some reason. The guy's wife (to whom the laptop was originally going to) didn't want this laptop, but also did NOT want to give it to me. Makes me feel weird, but the gentleman just handed it over.

I guess I shouldn't feel bad because I am going to give them a great Server, and setting it up to handle 20 outside users simultanaeously(sp?) accessing software that won't even be located on half the local systems, but running directly off my badass server.

Oh and the laptop, here are the stats (for you geeks out there) :

15.4" WUXGA Hi-Definition screen
AMD Athlon 64 3200+
512 MB 333 Memory
80GB HD
DVDR/RW
9in1 Card Reader
128MB ATi Radeon x200M
Built in WiFi G

Oh and this nifty thing called Instant Play or some shit. basically you put a DVD in the drive (with the laptop OFF), and it will play the DVD w/o loading windows. Kinda neat I guess.

Opinions?
